Who We Are

Ape Team Ltd is a forward-thinking events company at the heart of Newcastle’s music and culture sector. With grassroots origins as a small club night, Ape Team Ltd has developed an innovative portfolio ranging from large scale cultural and immersive events, venue management and our very own record label/ event brands.

Our club event brands and record labels (including Ape-X and ME ME ME) have had a huge impact locally and nationally, with many of our diverse events and performers being celebrated across the globe! We’ve been nominated for DJ Mag’s Best of British ‘Best Club Night’ and have hosted a number of festival stages at international events (including Hideout, Love International and Sonar). We have also reached global audiences by featuring in international publications such as Kalbut, Resident Advisor, Timeout & Mixmag

Since launching in 2008, we have worked with partners including: Red Bull, Koppaberg, 808 Whiskey, Elrow, Soundcloud, Love International, Hideout Festival, Bestival, Eden Festival, Cocoon, Feel My Bicep, Teach First, Urban Outfitters & More.

As an organisation, we’re committed to using our platform to create positive social change. We actively work towards creating change in the industry through a diverse line-up of DJs/ performers, advocating for gender diversity and increasing accessibility across all of our events.

After a challenging year, we can’t wait to restart our programme of immersive events and experiences across Newcastle’s music scene!
